What is a Guaranteed Five Year Savings Plan?

It’s a five‑year, regular‑savings plan with a guaranteed return. Pay monthly by salary deduction or direct debit, and at the end of five years you receive a guaranteed lump sum, with a set minimum even if you surrender early. Death benefits are also guaranteed to be at least what you’ve paid in. Include the rolling option to start a new plan each year and get a payout every year (after the first five years)

Ideal for those looking to kick start the savings habit and build for the future.

At the end of the five year period, you get an additonal contribution on top of what you have paid.

Once your plan starts, you can choose to start a new plan each anniversary. For example:

Year 1 - £20 monthly (1 Plan)

Year 2 - £40 monthly (2 plans)

Year 3 - £60 monthly (3 plans ) and so on

Giving you a payout each year from year 5 onwards.

Your circumstances may change, forcing you to cash in early.

How it works

You set a fixed monthly payment, keep it going for five years, and then receive a guaranteed lump sum (and ongoing payouts if you choose the Rolling Plan option).

Set your monthly payment

Choose a monthly amount to save. Payments are taken automatically from salary or by direct debit.

Keep saving for five years

Your plan runs for a fixed term of five years. The monthly amount can’t be changed, but you can choose a Rolling Plan where a new five‑year plan starts each year.

Take your guaranteed payout

At the end of five years, you receive the guaranteed maturity value based on your chosen premium. With the Rolling Plan, you can then enjoy a payout every year for as long as you keep starting new plans.

30-day cooling-off period

You have 30 days from opening the plan to change your mind. If you cancel within this period, you'll receive a full refund of any contributions.

Early withdrawals

The plan provides a guaranteed return at the end of the term but if you cash in the plan early there is a penalty. During years 1 and 2 there is a deduction of two premiums and during years 3 and 4, one premium is deducted. In year 5 you would get back what you have paid in.
