What is Life Insurance?

Life Insurance provides financial protection for your family if the worst happens. Paying a lump sum to help with bills, debts and future plans, giving you peace of mind that the people who matter most are supported.

The plan pays a lump sum on death. You choose the amount of cover and how long the plan runs for. You can take out single life cover or joint life cover depending on your needs. A joint life plan pays out once on the death of the first to die, after which the plan ceases. For only £2 more in total per month, you can each have your own single life plan, and you can then add critical illness benefit to each plan if you wish.

Please refer to our policy wording and key features for more information.

On death during the term of the plan. Where two people are covered (joint life): on the death of the first to death.

On diagnosis of a specified critical illness (if included as optional benefit).

On diagnosis of a terminal illness (less than 12 months to live), but not in the final 24 months of the plan term.

If you do not disclose relevant medical information on your application form.

If you do not tell us about a change after completing your application but before cover starts, including changes to your health, smoking status, use of drugs or alcohol, or hazardous pastimes.

If death occurs due to suicide during the first year of the plan.

If you cancel the plan or if any premiums are more than 30 days overdue (60 days for payroll deductions).
