What is a Guaranteed Five Year Fixed Rate Bond?

This is a five‑year, fixed‑rate bond with a guaranteed maturity value. Invest a lump sum, lock it away and get a fixed rate of interest throughout and a known payout at the end of the term.

There is no access during the term unless in exceptional circumstances. This may be appropriate for those who want certainty but don't need access to their investment for five years.

Fix your rate for five years

Once you have opened the bond and we have received your funds, the interest rate and guaranteed maturity value are locked in for the whole term. Market movements won’t change what you’ll get back at the end.

Receive your payout at maturity

At five years, your bond matures and pays the guaranteed amount. You can choose to reinvest into a new product or withdraw.

30-day cooling-off period

You have 30 days from opening your Bond to change your mind. If you cancel within this period, you'll receive a full refund of your original investment.

The Bond is fixed for five years and can only be accessed after 5 years. Funds cannot be withdrawn unless in exceptional circumstances, diagnosis of a terminal illness or on death. Please refer to the Important Information document for details.
